Audrey Hepburn Fashion Illustration

I started drawing this, of Audrey Hepburn before christmas and for a while it was just sitting on my 'in-progress' pile, but yesterday I finally got around to finishing it!
I hope you like the outcome - I'm pretty pleased with it!
The original image that I used as reference was by Norman Parkinson and it has lots of pink tones in it, so I thought I'd add in a splash of pink in photoshop to brighten it up and it works really well.
She was such a pleasure to draw, her face is just timeless!!
She is now up in my shop along with some other originals, so go and check them out -->

Giambattista Valli Haute Couture 2015

I love everything about Paris Couture week, and as always I feel compelled and inspired to draw as soon as the looks hit the runway!
Giambattista Valli never EVER fails to amaze, everything floral, embroidered and frilly - Of course!
I decided to draw this look that features a beautiful silk flower covered bodice and chiffon skirt.
I hope you like!
I used pencil for the main part and watercolour for the skirt, which I think worked quite well to show the flowy-ness of the skirt. I discovered Art Masking Fluid the other day, (and I'm currently obsessed lol) and decided to use it on this piece to mask out the white embroidered flowers on the skirt - It worked like a treat!
Anyway, heres some snaps from the Giambattista Valli show and backstage :)

'Secrets' Beauty Illustration

NEW beauty illustration entitled 'Secrets' completed using pencil, ink and digital colouring.

In the summer I thought I'd start on a summery beauty illustration with yellow flowers, but then got tied down with commissions and other work so it just sat on my pile of unfinished work. Then, the other day I came across it and I suddenly had THE best vision ever. I re worked the drawing, experimented with black ink and then put it all together on photoshop and BOOM out came this.
I love love love the way it has turned out, I hope you do too!

You can purchase prints of 'Secrets' in my new shop, http://annabellesillustrations.bigcartel.com/

And I will soon be doing cards, so watch this space!

Chanel N°5 Fashion Illustration

NEW Chanel N°5 fashion illustration, completed using pencil, ink and digital colouring.

I am so excited about this new piece, not only because of my love of perfume but because it is something slightly different to what I usually do. I really enjoyed doing it though so I may do some more featuring different perfumes :)

ALSO I have opened up a new shop on Bigcartel, so I wont be selling on etsy anymore.

Prints of this and more are now up in my NEW Bigcartel shop

I am going to be doing cards and other things soon with christmas coming up, so watch this space!

Dolce and Gabbana SS15 Beauty Illustration

I always look forward to Dolce and Gabbana's collection at fashion week and (I think every time I say the same thing) this one has to be my all time favourite.
Taking inspiration from decadent Sicily, the D&G boys used luxurious fabrics in rich colours which accompanied stunning lace work and embroidery. Every look made me want to pick up my pencil and start sketching!
Usually, I focus on full length illustrations but when I saw this photo taken backstage of the beautiful model, Zhenya Katava, I just had to draw it.
I used pencil for the most part and then watercolour for the roses - I hope you like it!
I've put the original up for sale in my etsy shop, which you can find here,
