Zimmermann Autmn Winter 2014 Fashion Illustration

I loved everything about Zimmermann's Autumn Winter 2014 collection and not just because it is their second ever runway show in new york, but that it was just beautifully together, the pieces are so intricate and modern but I feel that some of the looks hint at an influence from the Victorian era.
I'm a sucker for the details, from the patent black shoes to the cute little bow neck pieces, even the slicked back hair and the deep Burgundy lipstick all add to this modern, vintage look - which  I LOVE!
Anyway I particularly liked the chunky knit jumper dress which is why i had to illustrate it - I completed it using my favorites; pencil and watercolour.
I hope you like! It took quite a while to draw all the little bobbles but was definitely worth it!

Zuhair Murad Haute Couture Spring Summer '14

Zuhair Murad
Spring Summer 2014
Haute Couture
By Annabelle King

Couture fashion week is the best time of the year for me! - if only i were lucky enough to go and see the collections myself in pairs...but i guess the closest i am going to get to them is to stream them live online...
:(
Zuhair Murad is in my opinion THE, if not one of the most amazing designers of all time and he never fails to amaze me! Whilst watching the show I was swept away to a wonderful land filled with lace, embroidery, gold and sparkle, I wanted the collection to go on forever!
I have never seen such an exquisite collection and i seriously want to illustrate every piece, but unfortunately i don't have the time...
But anyway, I chose probably one of the hardest designs to illustrate, but I definitely think it was worth it - I used pencil for the main part of the piece and then metallic gold paint for the beautiful belt.

Liquid GOLD

 Liquid Gold
By Annabelle King

A few months back I came across the most beautiful editorial shot by Sandro Baebler for Fashion Gone Rogue that features stunning gowns by one of my favourite designers, Alexander McQueen.
So I went ahead and asked Sandro Baebler if I could have the pleasure of illustrating this editorial, to which he said yes!
The images are so romantic and decadent, they actually took my breath away.
With hints of gold throughout the spread, I thought I would make a feature of the gold in my illustration by using metallic paint and who doesn't love a bit of gold?!

Here are a few images from the editorial but make sure you check out the full editorial on fashiongonerogue.com!
